Late Capt Krishan Kumar

Late Capt Krishan Kumar was highly motivated and energetic with over three decades enlisted years of experience in Military Services.He had an extra ordinary leader and problem solver in him. He had a calm demeanor under pressure which enabled him with superior time management and conflict resolution skills. He was analytical and highly innovative with expertise in resource optimization.He as an entrepreneur proudly demonstrated commitment, compassion and reasoned thinking while pioneering into his niche field of Fire Technology and Industrial Safety Management. He was the Founding Member of “The Defence Officer’s Society for Prevention of Fire & Disaster Management”, which came into being in 2003 and is duly registered with Registrar of Cooperative Societies under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. He was a thoughtful leader with versatility in collaboration with Fire Safety Sector, CGD Sector , Defence Sector and State Governments that he along with the Patron , finally conceptualized and executed his dream project of raising a unit named Delhi Institute of Fire Engineeringto realize the objectives of making Society & Industry “Fire Safe” & “Risk Free” by way of spreading awareness in the society and providing its expertise and services to the industry towards Health, Safety & Environment and to generate Job opportunities for youth in the field of Fire Safety and related fields especially in rural India.

He was a known workaholic and DIFE is a testimony of his enterprising vision and “Never Say- Die” attitude. It took him only five years to cross many hurdles in achieving the mission of his life to take DIFE to such levels which offeredvisibility to DIFE at both nationaland international forums.His hard work has started bearing fruits as lot of requests are being received from placement agencies and other organizations for campus recruitment of the students undergoing training at DIFE and within a very short span of time the Institute has made its presence felt at the national and international levels and the courses in progress are running at full strength. The credit for extending resettlement facilities to Ex-servicemen through DGR (Director General Resettlement-Defence) Courses in the field of Fire Safety trade may be attributed to singular efforts of Late Capt Krishan Kumar.
